Northwest Mountain Adventure – A Four-Day/20 hour Adventure in a Cessna Corvalis TTx

Day One: Your Adventure begins with a short leg to Eugene and then on to Salem, Oregon for lunch. Then it’s up the Willamette Valley for refueling in the Portland area. We trace the spine of the Cascade Mountain range with a bird’s eye view of Mt. Hood, Adams, St. Helens and Rainer before ending the day in Bellingham, Washington just south of the Canadian border.

Day Two: Following breakfast we depart BLI with a brief stop at Boeing Field in Seattle. Then it’s over the Cascade Range sidestepping Mt. Rainier and refueling in Yakima. We land in Spokane for lunch followed by a high altitude leg over the mountains and into the valley for our overnight in Missoula, Montana.

Day Three: It’s time to reverse our course and head westward. If weather conditions allow we will venture into the back-country of Idaho and you can experience the thrill of landing at the US Forest strip of Moose Creek, Idaho, a jewel in the Idaho wilderness area. When your heart rate returns to normal we will takeoff and continue westward stopping at Lewiston Idaho at the confluence of the Salmon and Snake Rivers. Our next stop is lunch in Pasco, Washington, and finally a high altitude leg passing south of Mt. Rainier for our overnight in the capital city of Olympia, Washington.

Day Four: This morning our first stop is Hoquiam, Washington where we fly a low approach and turn south following the coastline into Astoria, Oregon. After a brief stop we continue on to Newport where a great restaurant overlooking the ocean awaits. After lunch we pickup and continue southward for an approach at North Bend before our final leg over the Siskiyou mountains into Medford where our Adventure began. You won’t believe it has been only four days!
